Macau police have arrested a man and a woman who allegedly stole MOP355,000 ($44,369) from a casino on Cotai, according to local media reports.
Surveillance staff alerted authorities in September after noting the couple working in a VIP lounge. They persuaded the six victims to hand over the chips on the pretence of helping them and then distracted their attention to steal the chips. The report didn’t name the casino concerned.
The two accused have reportedly admitted to the crime and said they had lost the proceeds.
