MGM participates in “Experience Macao” Mega Sale across Indonesia and Malaysia

As part of its ongoing strategy to grow its presence in Southeast Asia, MGM is taking part in the four-day “Experience Macao” Mega Sale organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), running from October 9 in Indonesia and Malaysia.

During the events, MGM rolls out an array of exclusive limited-time offers and discounts, including cultural tourism experiences designed to encourage visitors to explore Macau’s neighborhoods, alongside featured products from local cultural and creative brands, showcasing the multifaceted appeal of Macau’s “Tourism+” initiative.

At MGM’s booths in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the company draws crowds with an interactive capsule lucky draw machine. Visitors have the chance to win over 3,000 exclusive prizes, including discounted tickets to the residency show Macau 2049, themed souvenirs from the POLY MGM MUSEUM, and curated gift boxes from Macau-based cultural and creative brands featured at MinM Plaza and Macau Ideas.

While promoting its Forbes Five-Star accommodations, Michelin-rated dining, and immersive cultural tourism offerings, MGM also aims to elevate the image of “Made-in-Macau”, “Macau Brand”, and “Macau Design” products, thereby supporting local creative brands in expanding their global presence. MGM’s mascot, Leo, has made a surprise appearance at the events, delighting guests and adding to the joyful atmosphere. With an integrated online and offline marketing approach, MGM hopes to inspire more travelers from Indonesia and Malaysia to choose Macau as their top travel destination.

Both Indonesia and Malaysia rank among Macau’s top 10 international visitor markets, with the Muslim travel segment showing significant growth potential. Coinciding with Macau’s first-ever recognition this year as a Muslim-friendly destination, MGM is well-prepared to welcome travelers from both countries.

Macau sets monthly tourism record with over 4.2M visitors in August 2025

The Company has used halal-certified ingredients, provided specialized training for staff in halal catering, and is capable of offering halal meals through both banquet and in-room dining services. Such initiatives help ensure a welcoming environment that meets the diverse needs of Muslim travelers.

Throughout this year, MGM has actively participated in MGTO’s global promotional campaigns across Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Portugal, Indonesia, and Malaysia. These efforts are part of MGM’s broader mission to expand Macau’s international visitor base and to reinforce the city’s position as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure.
