India’s Delta Corp. says that the government of Goa has extended restrictions in the state until August 2nd, mandating the closure of the company’s casinos. In a note on Monday, the company noted that the properties would only “be re-opened once permitted by the government.”

The company notes that it is not yet possible to estimate the potential losses due to the temporary closure, after restrictions were implemented on May 3rd and updated on a weekly basis. The company last announced that the Covid restrictions had been extended to July 26th due to the rising number of cases in the country.

Delta is India’s largest casino operator and has three floating casinos in Goa, with some 1,800 gaming positions.
