Genting Cruise Lines is going to have its first cruise out of Hong Kong on Friday evening: the Dream Cruises ‘seacation’, aboard the Genting Dream. Bookings for other ‘seacation’ packages are running through December. Mid-July, the company announced that it had completed the vaccination of its officers and crew, with the ship’s captain saying he “can’t wait to welcome guests back onboard” after nearly 18 months without sailing. Adult guests over 16 are required to have taken both doses of vaccine at least 14 days before their sailing date.

The Hong Kong cruise comes after another of Genting’s ships, the World Dream, was forced to return from a cruise to nowhere out of Singapore after one of its passengers tested positive for Covid.
