Manavia to present Isle of Man Data Asset framework at iGB L!VE London

Manavia Limited, the Isle of Man-based trust and corporate service provider, will be attending iGB L!VE London this week (1-2 July) with a clear focus, introducing the global iGaming industry to one of the most significant legal innovations to emerge from the Isle of Man in recent years, the Data Asset Foundation.

Part of the MannBenham Group and licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority, Manavia has built a strong reputation as a specialist partner for gaming operators navigating multi-jurisdictional licensing, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance. At this year’s iGB L!VE, the Isle of Man’s pioneering Data Asset Foundation framework will take centre stage.

Introduced under the Foundations (Amendment) Bill 2025, the Isle of Man became the first jurisdiction in the world to formally recognise data as a legal asset. For iGaming operators, who generate vast quantities of player behaviour data, transaction records, fraud detection models, and market intelligence, this is a landmark development, a Data Asset Foundation, or DAF, provides a governed and legally recognised structure through which data can be properly held, managed, protected, and potentially used to support wider commercial objectives, including investment, financing, partnerships, and business growth.

Manavia designs, implements, and administers DAFs for iGaming businesses looking to understand and unlock the commercial value of their data in a compliant and structured way. The opportunity is particularly significant for operators considering institutional investment or strategic acquisition, where a certified and well governed data estate may play an important role in demonstrating value.

Carly Stratton, Director and Head of Commercial and Technology at Manavia Limited, sees iGB L!VE as the right moment to put DAFs in front of the industry.

“Gaming operators are sitting on data assets of enormous value, but until now the legal tools to properly recognise and manage that data have been limited,” she said. “The Isle of Man has created a new framework that gives businesses a clearer way to structure and govern their data. We are attending iGB L!VE to help operators understand what this could mean for their business, whether they are looking at future investment, financing, partnerships, or simply creating a more professional and robust approach to data governance.”
