NOVOMATIC cancels participation at ICE 2022

NOVOMATIC has become the latest exhibitor to pull out from ICE London 2022, citing the pandemic, logistical challenges and the unfavorable alternate date.

ICE was originally set to be held in the first week of February, but the date of the show has been moved to April following Easter.

“The NOVOMATIC Executive Board has not taken this decision lightly. Following the recent weeks’ uncertainties and after detailed analysis and risk assessment, the decision has been taken to withdraw from ICE 2022 for various reasons,” said the company in a press statement.

A multitude of adverse aspects – including the pandemic, logistical challenges and, last but not least, the unfavourable and unavoidable alternative date – have culminated in a situation in which participating in the show is no longer viable.

Last week it was reported that Scientific Games and Zitro have also canceled their participation at ICE, citing similar reasons including worldwide concern over the Omicron variant, and the clashing dates with the Easter break, along with expected low attendance of customers from other continents.
