TransAct appoints John Dillon as interim CEO

Technology and printing solutions group TransAct Technologies has appointed John M. Dillon as the interim CEO of the company, effective immediately.

In a Wednesday release, the company noted that Dillon would succeed Bart C. Shuldman following his resignation.

Shuldman had served as the group’s CEO since 1996, with the group’s Board Chair thanking him for his “nearly three decades of dedication and service to TransAct and our valued customers”.

Shuldman noted that now “feels like the right time to step away and spend more time with my family”, noting that the company “is in a position of strength”.

The new interim CEO has been a member of TransAct’s board since 2011 and currently also serves as the Chairman of real-time data platform Aerospike.

The Wednesday release also notes that the group is maintaining its revenue estimates for this year of between $70 million and $72 million, with predictions EBITDA will range between $5.2 million and $5.4 million.
