Hard Rock International has announced the appointment of John Rees as Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations.
While the company only announced the appointment this week, Rees’ social media indicates that he has been in the role since November of 2023.
Rees had previously served with Marriott Vacations Worldwide as the group’s Vice President Resort Operations and Experience.
He also spent some five years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, including roles as Senior Director of Operations and Area Director of Operations, Middle East and Africa Continent.
John Rees will be ‘responsible for leading and supporting all facets of hotel operations across the Hard Rock International portfolio, including both corporate-managed and franchised locations,’ notes a company release.
Hard Rock International COO, Jon Lucas – to whom Rees will be directly reporting – noted that “His depth of experience guiding world-class luxury and lifestyle hotels paired with his results-driven leadership style makes John an invaluable addition to our company.”
Regarding his appointment, Rees noted “Our future pipeline of hotel projects is very robust which will allow me to work with my teams to innovate and create more of the special brand touchpoints and guest experiences our fans expect.”
