APAC to get 820 more hotels in 2021, more in pipeline

Despite Covid-mandated travel restrictions, the number of new hotels will continue to expand in 2021 with 820 hotel projects and 190,332 rooms due to go live in the Asia Pacific region.

That’s according to research from TopHotelNews. Next year it expects 718 openings and a further 169,943 keys. The majority of the projects are in China, following by Australia and India.
