Australian law firm Addisons has hired sports and gambling law expert Lachlan Gepp as Special Counsel to the company.
Gepp most recently held a role as in-house counsel and Head of Legal for Sportsbet. He also previously held senior legal positions at the National Rugby League (NRL) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).
In a Monday release, the law firm noted that ‘Lachlan’s expertise spans intellectual property, major broadcasting and technology arrangements, regulatory compliance and enforcement, across the sporting, gaming and online wagering sectors.’
Gepp officially started with the company on Monday.
Speaking of the new addition to the legal team, Addisons Partner Jamie Nettleton noted, “Lachlan has significant legal and industry expertise in the sports and gambling sectors in Australia, with extensive experience in IP, technology, enforcement and broadcasting.”
Addisions advises clients on both in-bound Australian gaming projects and out-bound international market interest. Clients include operators, machine manufacturers, service providers, eSports tournament organizers and more.
