The global casino gaming equipment industry was estimated at $11.02 billion in 2019, and is expected to hit $13.19 billion by 2027, registering a CAGR of 5.5 percent from 2021 to 2027, according to a report by Allied Market Research.
The video poker machine segment will record the fastest growth at 5.9 percent, it said.
Although Covid is hitting the land-based industry, the firm expects the segment to bounce back. The opening of casinos in new jurisdictions coupled expansion of existing properties will help fuel growth, as will strong investment in research and development to improve games.
