Scientific Games said Q1 revenue rose 1 percent and its loss narrowed significantly thanks to gains in its lottery, Sciplay and digital businesses.
Revenue was $729 million, while its net loss narrowed to $9 million from $155 million the same quarter a year ago.
Gaming revenue continued to be impacted by casino restrictions and closures, particularly in Europe.
“I am extremely pleased with our progress this quarter,” CEO Barry Cottle said. “Despite the continued challenges, our teams’ dedication and focus enabled us to build on our gains from last year. We delivered another strong quarter, enabling us to return to growth on both the top and bottom lines.”
