Macau’s gross gambling revenue was relatively flat in the first week of April, despite increasing visitation, Bernstein Research wrote in a note.

According to the firm’s channel checks GGR up to April 6 was MOP1.5 billion ($187 million). The weekly average daily GGR was up 2 percent from March, but down 7 percent from March’s daily average as a whole.

Bernstein however said that “a few weeks don’t make a trend’ and it expects GGR to pick up in April and May. It sees GGR for the month down in the high 50s percent.
