According to the latest data from the Public Security Police, as of noon on Sunday, November 10th, the number of visitors to Macau this year has exceeded 30 million, surpassing last year's total of 28.25 million.

Macau visitor arrivals in September reached 2,528,011, marking a 9.9 percent year-on-year growth. This figure represents a recovery rate of 91.4 percent compared to the same month in 2019.

Macau's visitor arrivals from the ten cities recently added to the Individual Visit Scheme (IVS) saw a 17.1 percent increase in August compared to the same month last year.

Macau’s visitor arrivals increased by 9.5 percent year-on-year and 18.4 percent month-on-month, reaching over 3 million in July 2024.

Macau saw a 21.6 percent year-on-year increase in visitor arrivals in May, totaling just over 2.69 million, according to the city’s Statistics and Census Service.

Macau’s visitor arrivals during the month of April totaled about 76 percent of those seen in the same month of 2019, topping 2.6 million, a monthly fall of 4.4 percent and a yearly increase of 14.4 percent.

Visitor arrivals in the Macau SAR have decreased by 28.6 percent month-on-month from 3.22 million to 2.3 million in September 2023.

Visitor arrivals in the Macau SAR have increased by 16.7 percent month-on-month to more than 3.22 million in August 2023, marking the highest monthly visitor arrivals so far this year.

Total visitor arrivals to Macau grew by 270 percent year-on-year in May to 2,213,807, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).  The figure drops 2.6 percent compared to April. It is the fifth month in which tourism numbers have passed 1 million since the pandemic forced the city to close its borders in 2020.
