Macau’s gaming regulator (DICJ) has intensified its inspections in all casinos in Macau to ensure epidemic prevention measures are in place and being followed.

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has sworn in 14 senior personnel as part of a bid to strengthen Macau's oversight of its gambling industry.

Macau's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, or DICJ, has confirmed to Asia Gaming Brief that the watchdog has granted 150 new-to-market gaming tables for SJM's new flagship property the Grand Lisboa Palace.

Long-time Macau civil servant, Lio Chi Chong, has been sworn in as deputy director of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau. His prior positions included a stint in the judiciary police. 

Lio Chi Chong has been appointed as the new Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) Deputy Director for a one year term, starting on February 3, 2021.

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) says its deputy director Leong Man Ion will step down from Jan. 7th at his own request. He will return to his prior position as a DICJ senior technical advisor.

Macau authorities are studying whether to allow online gambling to help recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ) Director, Adriano Ho, said in a written response to a question from a legislator.
