China Ecotourism Group Limited has labeled the growth of China's lottery industry as 'remarkable' in recent years, as it secured new sports lottery terminal procurement bids for Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Henan.

Guangzhou Lottnal Terminal Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Ecotourism Group Limited, has secured significant contracts for sports lottery terminal procurement projects in Guizhou and Guangxi provinces.

China Welfare Lottery may record one of the largest first prizes this Wednesday.

Figures released by the Chinese Ministry of Finance show that the country experienced a 2.5 percent year-on-year decrease in lottery ticket sales, amounting to RMB 50.54 billion ($7.1 billion) for the month of November. While sales of lottery tickets to support the country’s welfare system were up 29.5 percent to RMB 16.94 billion ($2.38 billion), sales to support the sports industry decreased 13.3 percent year-on-year to RMB 33.6 billion ($4.72 billion), the ministry said.

China’s lottery sales amounted to RMB 225.2 billion ($31.5 billion) from January to May 2023, representing a year-on-year increase of 50 percent.

Lottery and integrated technology and services company AGTech has announced that one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries has won the lottery terminals procurement tenders to supply lottery terminals to Sports Lottery Administration Centers in Guangdong, Yunnan and Fujian provinces.

AGTech Holdings Ltd reported a consolidated net loss pegged at HK$110 million ($14 million) for the second quarter of year 2022 which ended on June 30.

AGTech Holdings said one of its units has recently been awarded contracts to supply lottery terminals to the China's Sports Lottery Administration Centres in seven Mainland locations.
