Boutique hotel chain, Nobu, will open its first Asian property in the City of Dreams Manila resort being developed by Melco Crown. The 321-room hotel will also feature a Nobu restaurant, named after world-renowned chef, Nobu Matsuhisa. “The development of City of Dreams Manila is progressing well and is expected to open in 2014,” Melco chairman and president Clarence Chung said in a release. Nobu will be one of three hotels in the integrated resort complex. Melco director James Packer called the hotel a bet on China. “We really need it to work for the people of Manila and to also be an attraction that is good enough to get the Chinese market to come here and have fun,” he told reporters at a launch ceremony.
