Casino workers threaten protest against gaming table expansion

The Forefront of Macau Gaming union is threatening a series of protests to force the government to disclose how many tables it may allow in new resorts on Cotai, local reports said. The union is concerned that increasing table numbers will open the door to migrant workers arriving to take up jobs as croupiers. Union President Ieong Man Teng said, based on union calculations, the resorts may request thousands of new tables, requiring at least 20,000 croupiers and pit supervisors.
