GMA announces Klebanow’s retirement from firm

Global Market Advisors (GMA) today has announced the retirement of industry veteran Andrew Klebanow from the firm.

Klebanow, who has been with GMA since 2005, is reportedly stepping down to spend more time with his wife, Sue, after over forty years in the hospitality industry.

Klebanow has worked in the hospitality industry since 1975 and in the fields of marketing and business planning since 1991.

His experiences include senior positions at gaming/hospitality venues such as Sahara Gaming Corporation’s Hacienda Hotel and Casino, Alliance Gaming Corporation, Horseshoe Gaming, Santa Fe Gaming Corporation and Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall.

Mr. Klebanow formed his own consulting firm in 2001 and, together with Mr. Gallaway, formed Gaming Market Advisors in 2005.

Mr. Klebanow is a periodic lecturer at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, the University of Nevada Las Vegas and the University of Nevada Reno’s School of Continuing Education. He has contributed articles to the Cornell University Hotel and Restaurant Quarterly and the UNLV Hospitality Journal. Mr. Klebanow also authors a column in Indian Gaming Magazine and in the online gaming publication Urbino.net.

He is a highly requested speaker at industry conferences around the world.

"Today is about celebrating Andrew's accomplishments over his career. We would like to thank Andrew for his contributions over the years to GMA and wish him well as he gets to enjoy life a little bit more," said Steve Gallaway, managing partner of Global Market Advisors.  "He has been a great friend to me over the years and we wish him the best in his next endeavors."

Klebanow primarily worked on marketing plan development, focus groups, and player reward programs.

Looking to the future, GMA said it will be expanding these services as it grows the firm with a deeper bench of experience.
