Melco Resorts and Entertainment has been given the go-ahead to reopen its four casinos in Cyprus from May 17, albeit at reduced capacity.
According to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus, the casinos will be allowed to reopen at 30 capacity from May 17 and then up to 50 percent capacity from June 1.
The casinos were ordered to close in December due to an outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic. Melco operates four casinos under the name “The Cyprus Casinos”. Its locations are in Limassol, Nicosia, Ayia Napa and Paphos.
