PAGCOR orders nationwide gaming suspension

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has ordered an extension of the Manila gaming suspension to be applied nationwide.

In a message to Asia Gaming Brief, it was explained, "To help prevent the spread of Covid-19, PAGCOR has ordered the temporary suspension of gaming activities nationwide, hence, even those outside the National Capital Region. This covers PAGCOR-owned and operated and licensed entities - casinos, bingo, sports betting, poker, slot machines, and eGames."

The message added, "There was no press release since our previous statement mentioned that gaming facilities will close when the respective local government units declare their own community quarantine."

Unspecified measures have also been taken with regard to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
