Next week, the Australasian Gaming Expo, in collaboration with Asia Gaming Brief will be launching the 2020 edition of the AGE Seminars – delivered this year exclusively in a digital-only format.
The seminar program developed by Asia Gaming Brief in partnership with the Gaming Technologies Association was initially scheduled as a physical conference on August 11-13, 2020.
It was re-developed as a digital-only conference amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
As a result, the three-day event is aimed towards educating Australasia’s gaming industry, giving them all the necessary tools and knowledge to tackle the next twelve months and beyond.
On 11th August, delegates hear from Australia’s leading gaming analysts who explore how they see consumer discretionary spending changing in the years to come, along with how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact the Australasian gaming industry from a financial perspective.
Later in the day, we hear from a distinguished panel of publicans and experts, discussing the challenges relating to pub valuation amidst the pandemic.
On 12th August, delegates will be given an exclusive video tour of SkyCity’s Auckland venue – one of the first gaming venues in the region to reopen amid COVID-19. We hear about how they’ve seen customer demand change from the onset – what challenges have been experienced in their venues and their advice for the Australian market.
Later in the afternoon, we explore online gaming regulation in Australia. One of the most discussed topics amongst land-based operators who have been grappling with the COVID-19-stay-at-home reality.
On 13th August, we hear from customer service expert and professional speaker Michelle Pascoe on the future of guest expectations and experience.
Following this, we hear from some of Australia’s leading experts in F&B and dining, about what your F&B venues need to do to adapt to the “new normal.”
The AGE Digital Seminars will also share the results of the Australasian Gaming Survey: Covid-19 Response, a nationwide survey sent to clubs and pubs across Australia aiming to explore how businesses have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and the strategies employed to mitigate its impact.
