Casino operator Las Vegas Sands has announced the appointment of Patrick Dumont as its chief financial officer, according to an announcement from the company.
Las Vegas Sands chairman and chief executive officer Sheldon Adelson, who is also Dumont’s father-in-law, said the appointment was the formalization of a role Dumont had already been performing.
“Patrick has been providing strong leadership to the financial function and handling the principal duties of the CFO role very effectively for some time. We are extremely pleased to formally appoint him to this role, and we look forward to his contributions in the years ahead.”
Dumont had been serving the company in operational and financial leadership positions since he joined the company in 2010, according to the announcement. He was senior vice president of finance and strategy since 2013. Prior to joining LVS, Dumont worked as an investment banker at Miller Buckfire and Bear Stearns.
