Melco Resorts Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho told a conference call that he still sees Japan as “the best potential new gaming market globally.”
His full comments on Japan were as follows: “Turning to Japan, we want to highlight our commitment to bringing a world-leading IR there and continue to pursue opportunities within the market. While the process in Japan has been delayed and remains complex, it has renewed momentum as jurisdictions again initiating RFC processes.
We remain convinced that Japan represents the best potential new gaming market globally. At the same time, we remain patient and will maintain our disciplined approach with respect to all development activities including Japan.”
