Konami Holdings reported that the revenues for its gaming segment amounted to JPY7.15 billion (US$68 million) in the April-September 2020 period, a figure which was down 51.9 percent on a year-on-year basis.
Two affiliates under the Emperor Group have entered into an agreement to trade one of its hotels and two service apartment buildings in Hong Kong for some HK$2 billion (US$260 million), with the proceeds to be used to expand the group’s property development and hospitality operations beyond Macau.
The world is bouncing back, or at least coming to grips with the fact that going forward not much will be the same as before. Commendably, this industry quickly understood the need to adapt to a new normal, and that the days of targeting the low hanging fruit of the VIP sector are gone.
