The Macau Legend Group is planning to complete its Cape Verde hotel and casino complex by the end of 2020, local media reports.
According to the presentation by the group in August, picked up by Lusa, the “first phase is expected to complete in 2020”.
A bridge has been constructed between Santa Maria and Gamboa Beach, with “some final landscaping work on the access road” still “pending”, it said.
The project began in 2015 after Macau Legend boss David Chow signed an agreement with Cape Verde’s government for the construction of the Gamboa/Santa Maria project. The first stone was laid in February 2016.
This will become the largest tourist venture in Cape Verde, with an estimated total investment of $276 million. It will also be the country’s first integrated resort and casino.
