The Western Australia royal commission inquiry into Crown Resorts’ operations in Perth has been extended to March 2022, to allow for the commissioners more time to carry out their investigations, according to a statement from the WA government. 

Helen Coonan, the chair of Crown Resorts since January of 2020 told a Victorian royal commission on Thursday that she had gone against a "resistant" approach by the company to a public inquiry.

Victoria's Royal Commission investigating Crown Resorts is to begin its first hearing tomorrow, March 24. The inquiry will be chaired by former Federal Court judge Raymond Finkelstein.
