Parisian wins retail award

Sands China’s new French-themed Parisian resort has won an award for shopping center of the year at an event held in Dubai.

The 300,000 square foot mall won the Retail & Leisure International Shopping Center 2017. It was also shortlisted in the category of Most Innovative Retail & Leisure Concept; International Retail & Leisure Destination and Global Developer – Sands Retail.

Sands Shoppes Cotai Strip Macao is the largest duty free luxury shopping experience in Macao, "We are thrilled that Shoppes at Parisian has won this prestigious award, which I believe underscores our commitment to ensuring our malls offer the very best luxury retail has to offer," said David Sylvester, Executive Vice President of Global Retail, Las Vegas Sands Corp. "Although The Parisian Macao opened only nine months ago we have delivered in excess of 40 new-to-market brands and an unrivalled shopping experience to the consumer, so to have earned this recognition is a fantastic achievement.”

Sands China President Wilfred Wong said the company’s Macau properties now have clearly differentiated retail segments, with the Venetian focused on the mass market, the Four Seasons haute couture and Sands Cotai Central more family oriented. The Parisian contains high fashion brands.
