Myanmar working on gambling law, no licenses yet

Myanmar is still working on completing a gambling law and hasn’t issued any licenses yet, The Myanmar Times reported citing U Myo Win Nyunt, a director from the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
The comment follows reports on social media in the country that three and four-star hotels along the borders were being allowed to operate foreigner-only casinos.
Tourism has been on the upswing since the 2011 reforms in Myanmar. The country welcomed 2 million foreign arrivals to the country last year, about double the number in 2012.
