An outlying island county of Taiwan, Kinmen, is set to hold a referendum later this year for residents to decide whether or not to permit casinos.

Taiwanese authorities have taken down an underground online gambling operation targeting both Taiwanese and Chinese gamblers, according to Taiwan’s Central News Agency.
